This case was good, but my hopes went really high when Mouri started his own deduction, I thought it would be a great surprise if he would solve a case and go full berserk with his true self.

Just for at least once more, I would like to see him do that deduction like when he did in the cases when he found Eri's wedding ring or when his friends committed crimes (the ex detective guy and the judo guy). Come on Mouri Sensei, wake up!!!!

If kogoro too good, conan will have no job. Imagine conan who is not genius, and stand aside just to see kogoro solve everything. Its boring and the anime will have it name as detante kogoro instead of detante conan

Kogoro is only ever useful when the persons in a case are directly intimate with Kogoro or he can connect with them (in his mind) to those kinds of persons. Megure is even getting suspicious (in recent episodes) and calling Kogoro's first few fumbling ideas 'The Flop Theories' that always fail to deliver.

unfortunately, Kogoro's connection to the groom in episodes 667 & 668 didn't allow him to notice the cake on the guy's shoe or allow Kogoro to know about an insanely rare type of twinning only discovered in 2007. i've got an AS and a BS in criminal justice concentrating my studies in forensic investigations and 14 years as a law enforcement officer. even I did not know about that twinning type, i had to look it up online and do 30 minutes of research through crappy sources and erroneous websites.

You know what, I got the feeling that mouri knew about shinichi's situation and he's just pretending. I mean, mouri may not be as smart as shinichi or heiji or any of the other detectives in the story but he isn't stupid. Anyone would suspect that someone's using them when they can hear their voice from somewhere. Anyone would suspect that they were always put to sleep. If mouri only touch his neck every after he wake up from a case, he'd know it. I hate how much they're making mouri look stupid.

yeah, no... he is just that stupid. for example, Detective Inspector Yamamura (The Quack Detective from Gunma Prefecture) got PROMOTED to the SAME rank as DI Megure! so in the 'Conan-verse' moron cops can not only get hired, but survive, and reach HIGH RANKS.

Kogoro is ONLY USEFUL in cases in ONE FASHION! those cases that DIRECTLY impact, affect, or are influenced (in his mind) by those people he's most intimately related to.

@hhereforfun himself mentioned some of the cases. BTW that judo friend case was a college classmate of Kogoro and judo club member. all the other persons from that case were Kogoro's friends from college!

Kogoro's high-school classmate from eps 667 and 668 is one exception. Kogoro was CLOSE in that case, but he entirely missed the 'cake on the shoe' and the fact that the couple to be wed were a VERY VERY VERY rare type of twins. that type of twining was ONLY discovered in 2007.

so i doubt Kogoro is perusing the internet... since he can BARELY operate a PC... doesn't even know what a wireless LAN is (he thought his daughter was referring to HERSELF as a Wireless RAN) AND STUPIDLY RESPONDED TO THE WRONG EMAIL ADDRESS AND TRUSTED IT! without Kogoro screwing that up episodes 671-674 would never have happened.

i honestly do think, the primary reason Eri doesn't divorce Kogoro is HE IS SO DAMN INCOMPETENT! he's such a craptastical investigator, that i believe before Shinichi/Conan showed up Eri was SECRETLY financially supporting Kogoro and keeping their daughter alive and happy. in Japan when you divorce ALL joint assets are evenly divided. so the Kogoro/Eri banking account would have to be dissolved and any amount inside it split. that would be the easiest way for Eri to keep Kogoro's detective business from going belly up. she could just deposit some money into their bank account and hope that Ran could manage to keep the rent paid, the utilities turned on, and food on the table.

plus if i'm not mistaken the 'Master' at Cafe Poirot on the 1st floor of the 'Mouri Home Base' is their landlord and owns the building. so he's probably been giving Kogoro a damn steep discount on the rent... if not entirely ignoring collections etc. for months at a time due to the Master's friendship with Kogoro etc.

Kogoro is an egotistical, chain-smoking, drunken, gambling addicted, skirt-chasing, moron. plain and simple.

can someone explain this case to me ?
it just cant enter my mind and i cant explain what happened

basically, sazanami and sakota (the one who manage the props) were stealing goods and hide them inside the props then sold them to rich buyers..Tatsumi found out about it and then by using his scripts, was trying to make sazanami confess to his crimes..but later on tatsumi felt that he was in danger and ran away..but after knowing that mouri kogoro is somewhat involved in the filming, he sent the scripts containing hints to the case..sazanami was the one who attacked sakota and then attacked himself to put the blame on tatsumi but unfortunately conan saw through it all and solved the case via sleeping kogoro

where is the Moonlighters' version? they did a kick-ass job on ep 678. Hubuki Subs don't totally suck, but the Moonlighters group does MUCH better work! :<

plus the DPI on all these files is wretched. pitiful. not even 480p. :<
